Step 1 – Add Some ice in cocktail shaker

Step 2 – Add 1 oz of  light rum

Step 3 – Add 0.5 oz of crème de almond

Step 4 – Add 0.5 oz of triple sec

Step 5 – Add little bit off orange juice

Step 6 – Add little bit off pineapple juice

Step 7 – Shake it

Step 8 – Strain into ice filled Glass

Step 9 – Add 0.5 of 151 dark rum

Step 10 – Garnish with cherry

Easy Zombie Cocktail Recipe Video

This video bartending lesson is brought to you by American Bartenders School, where in just one or two weeks, you can be fully trained and ready to work as a professional bartender.

This drink is called a zombie. And one of the reasons why I think that it’s called a zombie, because it uses three different types of liquor, and after you drink it, or drink one of them or maybe two of them, you may walk like a zombie. So, it’s a tropical drink. There’s a number of different recipes for it, variations of it, but we have found out that this one probably makes one of the best-tasting of the variety of recipes out there.

So, what we’re going to do is, we’re going to use our Boston mixing set because we’re using liquors with different densities and we’re using fruit juices. So, we want to have a very nice, consistent flavor in our drink. So, our recipe calls for 1 ounce of our light rum, there we go, half-ounce of our crème de almond. If you didn’t have crème de almond, you could use amaretto, which is an almond-flavored liquor that’s sweet. So, we’ve got a half-ounce of our crème de almond, a sweet almond-flavored liquor. And then, our recipe calls for a half-ounce of our triple sec, which is our orange-peelish sweet liquor. So, we have three different liquors in there, light rum, crème de almond or amaretto, and our triple sec.

Now what we’re going to add is two different types of fruit juices. We’re going to use a little bit of our orange juice, a little bit of our pineapple juice. Then we’re going to ice up one of our tall glasses. We’re going to shake our ingredients thoroughly up because we’ve got all these fruit juices and all these liquors in there. Oops, almost spilled it. Gotta be careful there. Then we’re going to strain it right in there. And then what we’re going to add is a little of our 151 dark rum. Now, 151 dark rum means that it’s 75% pure alcohol, though about 75.5% to be precise. And our dark rum has a very heavy flavor. We’ll put about a half-ounce, and we’re going to float that directly on top because dark rum, 151 dark rum has a very heavy rum aroma and flavor to it.We’re going to put a couple of tall straws in it. Then what we’re going to do is we’re going to garnish it with a nice, sweet cherry. If we had a chunk of pineapple or a piece of orange, we could also put that in there.
